Technical Assistance to Small Businesses
We love our Rainier Valley neighborhoods and the small businesses that give them so much life. The entrepreneurs here work incredibly hard in the face of extraordinary risks, costs, and challenges. We aim to support them in connecting with resources, finding customers, and navigating permitting and regulatory processes. The goal: for our community to keep growing together.
Public Art & Wayfinding
Our neighborhoods have a rich history and unparalleled cultural wealth. We work with local artists to help share the stories of the Rainier Valley and spotlight the beauty and diversity of our local commercial districts.

We’re also proud to fund the winter lights ⬇️ that shine on Rainier Avenue from Genesee to Hillman City each September to March, making our Big Dark a little more festive.
Neighborhood Events
There’s so much to celebrate in South Seattle. We work with neighbors and partner organizations to support public events, from block parties and cultural festivals to mixers and fitness classes.
